STRAIGHT JIVE: The Mental Notion Society (MNS) is a production company specializing in art, entertainment, and media. All MNS projects follow the mission statement of creating art that instills dialogue amongst experiencing audiences. The Society is made up of various talents that are armed with alternative imaginations and vibes of cold tenderness. Founded in 2010, in Chicago, IL. The MENTAL NOTION SOCIETY is one huge mind poke.
HISTORIC PLAQUE: In the Year of our Lord, 2010 A.D., a collaboration of minds met to develop a fun, short video. Mr. Jimmy Chung and Mr. Jonald Jude Reyes wanted to act on the word "do." Instead of just talking about ideas they had, they were motivated by having the end product forumulated by their supportive actions. Underlining thoughts of their artistic endeavors were: "let's just do whatever" ; "as long as we do it, we're working on our craft" ; "who cares if its weird, funny, serious, whatever - let's just do it" ; and with that seed grew a plant of unlimited inventive paths. The freelance fluidity of the art became more detailed as each creative adventure layered old methods to new ones and vice-versa. Brainwaves became contagious and artists of different elements wanted to collaborate with the collaborators of collaborators. And thus, this hub, this center, this home became what is known as the MENTAL NOTION SOCIETY.
